''How i was tricked into p*rn'' – Nollywood Actor

Nollywood Actor Charles Inojie explains how he was tricked into starring in a prnogrphic movie. Some time ago, a  senior colleague at work invited me to be part of his new production.

For over 15 years, he was unable to shoot a single  movie as things were not going smooth for him, he was staging a comeback and needed my assistance. We've known each other for several years and as an undergraduate,  coming to Lagos those days to attend auditions, he was one of the foremost directors in Nollywood then.

It was quite impossible for me to have refused to support his return to the Movie industry.

That was how I saw myself starring in that movie, which was no ordinary movie but an adult movie.

To embrace my sympathy, he narrated how a marketer once declined his film simply because he did not feature familiar faces in the film. I appeared in few scenes in the movie which was shot in three days. I have no idea whatsoever concerning what lewed scenes he had previously shot.

Honestly, I  find it hard to understand why he decided to shoot such movie. I think he took his desperation too far.

I’m actually surprised that he used my face to promote pornography because the very day I saw the movie jacket, I knew something was wrong with it. There was no way I could have been part of the movie  if I knew from the out set that what he has shot was something close to an adult film.

He went on to explain his  wife’s reaction about the movie....

I'm grateful to God that I got married to my friend. I try my best to be truthful to my spouse. She saw the movie and got convinced that my character was not in any way connected with those dirty scenes in the movie. In fact, she has nothing whatsoever to be angry about.

kanye west mask ny times*Uh oh, this can’t be good news for Yeezus and his record label.

Kerry Wasington - July 2013 - BellaNaija
No scandal here; just full-on Kerry Washington sexy glamour or should I say Mrs Nnamdi Asomugha.
I am so excited that the Hollywood actress tied the knot with the Nigerian-American NFL player, because I have always yearned to blog daily about her and now I have another reason.
I had seen this Vanity Fair Magazine August issue a few weeks ago around the blogosphere, and when I saw the smouldering editorial pages, I just had to feature.
The ABC “Scandal” actress heats up the cover in a sexy cut-out white bodysuit, smokey eyes, laid-back hair and red lipstick.
Kerry didn’t leave all to just the cover, inside the editorial spread, she is also seen in some high-fashion pieces including a black Versace gown.
Check it out!

Supermom celebrates Heart of Gold

Obesere and mum
Supermom is back. Promoters of the reality show that celebrates and rewards mothers have announced the commencement of the fourth edition with tinkered model and focus-Heart of Gold. This year’s edition will not be celebrating biological mothers but women who gave and are still giving their all to children they didn’t ‘mothered’ (give birth to), hence the tagline, Heart of Gold.

Cobhams Asuquo
Supermom which is sponsored  by Procter & Gamble; makers of Safeguard, Ariel, Pampers, Always and  Promasidor; makers of Onga seasoning and Cowbell is in the fourth year running and has consistently celebrated mothers who through dint of rare sacrifices raised their children to enviable positions in the society.

The first and second editions focused on mothers whose stories their children told with emotive conviction. The stories bordered on the sacrifice, pain and sheer hardship that 20 women went through in raising their kids. Some of them had their men watching helplessly beside or behind them as the case may be while for some others the supposed traditional bread winners were nowhere to be found.  Their stories were told with short dramas while the eventual winners were decided via votes from members of the public.
Skales and mum
The first set of winners won brand new houses, the first runner up, brand new cars while the second runner up smiled home with cash prizes.
The focused shifted last year with mothers of celebrities put on the spot. From KSB to Julius Agwu, mothers of 20 celebrities gave rare personal accounts of how the famous faces were raised. Some stories moved the audience to tears while others invoked pensive mood laced with mild laughter brought about by knowing assurance that the end ‘compensated’  for the torturous and laborious means.
Mrs. Gladys Asuquo [mother of Cohbams] won the first prize and Mrs. Omobonike Anike [mother of Abass Akande PK1] and Mrs. Martinez Sanni [mother of Skales] were first and second runner-up respectively.
They won N2million, N1million and N500,000 respectively. They shared the prize money with motherless babies’ homes of their choices; SOS Village Isolo was chosen by Cohbams and Obesere while Skales chose Red Cross in Makoko.
This year the focused is on mothers who raised children they did not give birth to; mothers with heart of gold. Founders of motherless babies’ homes and various charititable organisations naturally take the front rolls but the stories of mothers with heart of gold did not start and end within the four walls of orphanages. Among the over 120 million Nigerians exist stories of women who nurtured other people’s children without discrimination and the results of their efforts are there for all to see.
Organisers, Digital Interactive Media (DIM) are calling for entries from people who know mothers who have made good success out of other people’s children. Entries can be sent in via SMS or email to 08183593220 OR supermomtvshow@gmail.com.
‘We need to celebrate mothers who without bias raised kids that are not theirs. Ask any mother, raising kids that are not yours is one of the ultimate sacrifices a woman can make. These women with heart of gold have proven that water can be thicker than blood sometimes’ Sola Fajobi, the executive producer said.

Why we oppose use of condom for family planning - Catholic Church

The Catholic church says it opposes artificial family planning techniques, because it encourages bastardisation of sexual activities by young people and “impedes normal procreation.”
The Secretary-General of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Ralph Madu, made this clarification in a response to an enquiry by The Punch on Sunday.
He said, “The Catholic Church believes that modern means, including the use of condoms is morally bad because it impedes normal procreation. You can meet with your wife when you do not want children and those periods when the woman is not fertile instead of having to destroy the sperm and all other forms of artificial prevention.
“They are very artificial means and they do not really give the moral lesson that borders around the use of the sexual organs.
“The one that gives you the opportunity to exercise your sexual urge without the consequences is the natural method and the church says you should go for the natural means.”
According to him, the excuse that it reduces the spread of HIV/AIDS remains invalid and untenable, adding HIV/AIDS is a disease that is prevalent among young people.
Madu added, “When you are talking about condom among young people, you are also talking about promiscuity. People have adduced arguments in case of people with HIV/AIDS and especially couples who do not want children. The use of condom and other modern means are being bastardised among young young people because they will resort to the use of condom so that they can have sex freely without impregnating the woman or getting pregnant.
“Those are various artificial means and the church is strongly against them. Instead, the church endorsed the natural method of copulation.”

Everton target Moses in surprise move

MosesNigeria’s Victor Moses could be a surprise first target for new Everton boss Roberto Martinez Mirror Football reports. The Goodison new chief believes his former Wigan striker – sold to Chelsea for £9m – may be up for grabs with the arrival of Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.
With Romelu Lukaku heading back to Chelsea after an eye-catching loan year at West Brom, Moses could be squeezed out despite playing a role last season. Moses played under Martinez at Wigan and the new Toffees boss is keen to get reacquainted with the 22 year-old Nigerian who has enjoyed a flying year with Chelsea and Nigeria.
Close watchers of the transfer market and the English Premier League suggest that Moses may find himself slipping further and further down the pecking order behind the likes of Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Brazilian Oscar.
With Mourinho back in the Chelsea hot seat, the Nigerian international could find a regular starting place even harder to hold down; and Moses may think his best bet is to seek pastures new and linking back up with his old mentor hard to resist.
It is also believed that a fee of around £10m may be enough to secure a deal for Moses if he is keen to move. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is believed to have told Mourinho that there will be less money on the table this time around and the Portuguese may be forced to offload a number of fringe players to fund his own transfer targets.
Martinez has also hinted he could go back to raid his old club Wigan, with midfielders James McCarthy, former Evertonian Callum McManaman, James McArthur, Spanish defender Ivan Ramis, and striker Aroune Kone all possible targets.
Martinez revealed there is no deal in place with Whelan to prevent him returning to poach Latics players.

My peak yet to come –Serena

Serena WilliamsSerena Williams thinks her best years may still be ahead of her at the age of 31.
She overcame stubborn resistance from defending champion Maria Sharapova in the French Open final Saturday to clinch her 16th Grand Slam title, beating the Russian 6-4, 6-4 and extending her own winning streak to 31 matches.
‘’I want to go out in my peak. That’s my goal. But have I peaked yet?’’ Williams said. ‘’I definitely want to continue my journey to get a few more.’’
Williams has some way to go before retiring, then, and a long way to go to match Australian Margaret Court’s 24 major titles. But she will catch Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert by the end of the year if she wins Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.
That would then leave Helen Wills Moody (19), Steffi Graf (22) and Court – who may just be a little too far off to catch.
‘’I always said that I felt like I have never played my best tennis. I have said that for years, that I feel like I can always do better and play better,’’ Williams said. ‘’The day I feel that I cannot improve, it’s going to be a problem for me. I’m going to have to debate whether I should keep playing. But I feel like as of know I can do a lot of things better.’’
Williams’ elation on clinching her second French Open title almost made up for her despondency after her shocking first-round loss to 111th-ranked Virgine Razzano at Roland Garros last year.
‘’I’m still a little bit upset about that,’’ Williams said. ‘’If I lose all hell breaks loose, literally.’’

Boko Haram: Time to stop the blame game

Tolu OgunlesiPresident Goodluck Jonathan has taken a great deal of flak for Boko Haram. Some of it are deserved – the protracted pussyfooting that hinted at a government hopelessly confused; and the squandering of a large chunk of the budget in the name of national security.
A lot, however, is undeserved. Nigerians are now given to speaking as though Jonathan started the crisis, forgetting that since 1979, every Nigerian government has tried – and mostly failed – to deal with the dangerous spectre of extremist Islam; and that what is happening now is that it has now fallen upon Jonathan to inherit the legacy of decades of mishandling religious crises.
There is also the fact that much of the blame should go, not to the Federal Government, but to the state governments and local politicians – many of whom actually belong to an opposition party, not the PDP –who created and perpetuated the conditions for the tragedy we are today experiencing (more on that later).
Shamefully, the President’s opponents themselves are not helping matters. None of them has demonstrated any evidence that they’d handle the Boko Haram matter given the chance. So, all we get is criticism of a flailing President, but no sensible or coherent strategy on the possible solutions to a crisis that may eventually consume all of us.
Let’s take Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd) for example, who, 30 years ago led a military offensive similar to the one he’s now loudly condemning. This is how historian Max Siollun describes it, in his forthcoming book, “Soldiers of Fortune: Nigerian politics under Buhari and Babangida”:
“Buhari was in charge of troops sent to Nigeria’s north-eastern border region in 1983 to prevent infiltration by armed rebels from the neighbouring Republic of Chad. After his troops successfully cleared the Chadian rebels from the border area, the troops advanced several kilometres into Chadian territory. The political hierarchy ordered Buhari to withdraw his troops, but he refused, arguing that the Chadian rebels would return to the area as soon as his troops departed. Buhari’s view was that it was futile to risk the lives of soldiers by confronting the rebels, only to withdraw and allow them to return once the objective had been achieved.”

pics: Tonto Dikeh falls on stage at Iyanya's concert last night

I'm not going to assume and say she was drunk when she came on stage to perform at the Kukere concert in London last night, but she definitely behaved odd. She said something about not wanting to wave because her armpit wasn't shaved and kept mouthing off until she fell.

Dear LIB readers: Where's the best place to meet single, available men in Lagos?

From a female LIB reader:
Can you ask your male readers the best places and ways to meet single available men?
I last went on a decent date like 4 years ago & after returning to Nigeria from my postgrad it's been a major struggle getting to meet handsome, inspiring cool guys. Men who like outdoor sports, hiking & camping, the beach swimming or building their own kitchen cabinets. I work in the middle of a financial and IT hub on the island with numerous banks and telecom offices around, I see some good looking guys occasionally when I go out to lunch but that's where it ends. With most of my friends not in the country and others married & busy with their families, having a girls night out is like pulling tooth from the very few available female friends I have got left. I have lately been getting the wrong attention from men I don't like even though I tried keeping them as platonic friends which never works out, till I realized I have not being proactive in choosing the men that approach me but yet I keep complaining and I want to change all that. Please help

"I wasted six years of my life with Jim Iyke"- ex GF Keturah Hamilton laments

Jim Iyke's sad and heartbroken Jamaican ex-fiancee Keturah Hamilton tells Diasporan Star:
"These days, I ask God: Why has thou forsaken me? How can a man with whom we had gone through the highs and the lows – a man who had professed so much undying love for me over the past six years just walk away like that? I don’t know what happened and I wish I could put a finger on it. He took away six years of memories, of support of love and all that I did for him – just like that. How mean and callous can one get?
Jim was supposed to come to New York and stay for six months, during which time, he would go to an acting school here in New York and then we would move to Los Angeles and get married and pursue our acting dreams. I was looking forward to that with eagerness and then he just walked away” she began to sob according to Diasporan Star
