CHOCOLATE CITY GROUP LAUNCHES CHOCOLATE CITY KENYA




The official launch of Chocolate City Kenya Label -a part of the Chocolate City Group -would be coming up on the 31st of May 2013 in the prestigious Museum Hill in Nairobi, Kenya. The company’s aim, according to the Kenyan rep, Angela Angwenyi, is to create a platform for the growth and expansion of East African music and foster more mutually beneficial collaborations with other African sub-regions.
In line with this Chocolate City Kenya’s first artist Victoria Kimani, a Kenyan on her sophomore single “Oya” already featured Chocolate City Vice President/ Africa’s number one rapper Mr Incredible M.I.
During an interview with entertainment TV show Hip On, MI was asked why Chocolate City signed Victoria. He said, “Victoria Kimani is amazing, she’s got a great vibe and ready to work, [she is] very hardworking and she’s just good.”


The launch will also see the official unveiling of a partnership between Chocolate City and Adrenalive – the organizers of The Mingle – which will feature the birth of new music festivals, concerts, and art culture in East Africa. The inaugural event from the series of concerts will be in July dubbed Boobaataa Festival.

Billed to perform at the event are M.I, Victoria Kimani who will be supported by some of the hottest talent in Kenya. Top Chocolate City executives will also be in attendance.
