Spin reported on May 14 that a massive heist was pulled off at the venue Justin Bieber was performing at in Johannesburg, South Africa. Bieber was busy singing his heart out for his fans at the final overseas date of his world tour when the Oceans 11-style crime took place. Thieves are believed to have stolen around $330, 000 in cash from the venue’s safe.Justin jokingly tweeted TMZ, “It wasn’t me.”Justin returns now to the United States where he will next appear on the Billboard Music Awards. Bieber will then kick off the US leg of his “Believe Tour” on June 22.Justin Bieber was unharmed in the incident.
Sout h Africa’s Eyewitness News reported that suspects used ropes and chisels to break into a safe room at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. Local authorities believe the incident must have been an inside job. The stadium holds 94,000 concert goers and thieves made their way past over 900 security guards to pull off the cash grab.
